Declare war on kote odours

It’s one of the unpleasant truths of kendo: at some point, your kote will start to smell. Especially if they don’t get a chance to dry after training. That’s exactly where the washable Hishigata kote come in.

You can easily wash them by hand in lukewarm water or give them a spin in the washing machine. This removes sweat and odours far more effectively than simply airing them out – and your dojo environment will thank you for it.

In short: Less olfactory cacophony, more enthusiasm for keiko.

Suitable for everyday use in the dōjō

The kote are made to measure according to your specifications and are therefore tailored to the dimensions of your hands. This ensures they fit securely without slipping, helping you deliver clean strikes and maintain a firm grip on the shinai.

The indigo-dyed Orizashi fabric ensures robust everyday durability and dries faster than classic thickly padded models – ideal if you train several times a week or want to wash your kit regularly.

The futon is made from indigo-dyed Orizashi fabric, which combines stability and flexibility well. The kote are machine-sewn and finished by hand at key points.

The Clarino leather palm offers you a grippy, durable grip on the shinai and is easier to care for than natural leather. The synthetic fibre padding reliably absorbs impacts and dries faster – a bonus if you wash your kote regularly.
