The Shinai KA is a dobari shinai with a balance close to the handle, which was specially developed for dynamic technique work. This weight distribution enables controlled and fast handling of the shinai – ideal for competition situations where precision and reaction speed are crucial.

Material

The shinai is made from carefully selected Keichiku bamboo, which is valued for its uniform flexibility and high stability.

The bamboo is waxed and polished, creating a particularly smooth surface and giving the shinai a durable, high-quality finish.

Only gin leather is used for the leather parts – the grain leather of cowhide, which is known for its durability and long-lasting quality.

Balance & use

Due to its Dobari shape, the centre of gravity is closer to the Tsuka. This makes the Shinai feel lighter in the hand and allows it to be wielded particularly quickly and precisely.

This balance makes the Shinai KA particularly suitable for small, fast competition techniques and dynamic movements in Shiai.
