Shinai KA Lady – Dobari Kendo Shinai

The Shinai KA Lady combines the features of the tried-and-tested KA model with a weight equivalent to that of a 38 shinai. This results in a well-balanced training shinai that supports precise technique work as well as dynamic movements in keiko.

Material

Made from carefully selected bamboo, the shinai impresses with its stability and uniform flexibility.

The bamboo is waxed and polished, resulting in a particularly smooth surface and high-quality workmanship.

Gin leather is used for all leather parts – the grain leather of cowhide, which is valued for its durability and long-lasting quality.

Balance & use

The shinai is made in the dobari style. This means that the centre of gravity is closer to the tsuka, resulting in controlled and easy handling.

This balance really comes into its own with small, fast techniques, enabling precise control of the kensen.
