The Jissen Gata Kendo Bogu 3 mm was developed precisely for this purpose. Its design focuses on low weight, high mobility and a compact padding structure – ideal for dynamic kendo.
With a total weight of only approx. 4.5 kg (including do), this armour is one of the lightest bogu in its class and supports fast, precise movements in training and shiai.
Construction & comfort
The 3 mm quilting provides compact padding with balanced cushioning.
The futon areas are designed to adapt flexibly to the shape of the body. This creates a very direct feel with high mobility – particularly comfortable during intensive training sessions and quick changes of movement.

The Jissen Gata Kendo Bogu is designed for kendoka who are looking for lightweight and flexible armour for intensive training and competitions.
Its low weight and flexible construction make it particularly suitable for fast, dynamic training forms and shiai situations.
It is not intended as permanent beginner's armour – its concept is clearly aimed at kendoka who already train regularly.
