Material & workmanship
This Sakigawa is made from Gingawa leather – the highest quality part of the cowhide.
Gingawa is characterised by a particularly even surface and an ideal combination of stability, elasticity and durability. For this reason, high-quality shinai are traditionally equipped with Gingawa leather parts.
The tip consists of a strong, rolled leather layer that is carefully sewn and bound with a sturdy Gingawa band.
