Gunome means eye and the eye is the special design of this suit.
The distance between each parallel-running machine-stiched seam is 4mm and 2mm. The smaller the distance between the seams, the more durable and resilient the Kendo bogu is - and the better your protection! This bougu combines the advantages of two different seams - 4mm and 2mm!
The complete bogu is assembled by hand. Only the leather parts and decorative parts are machine-stiched.
The bogu is made of tough #7000 cotton and the high-quality cowhide and fabric are dyed traditional indigo.
The bogu can be individualised by the choice of shape and colour of the embroidery of the mune. The standard version of the do is black, but as an extra you can choose from many different colours and motifs.
The delivery time for the bogu is about one week after receipt of payment. sould you have special requirements, such as a particular colour of the do, delivery takes about 4-5 weeks.
The right bogu for each kendoka - my recommendations:
4/2mm bogus provides an ideal solution, having the low price of basic versions but a high level of protection due to the close seams. I recommend the gunome bogu to all those starting Kendo and attending regular practises, but who only want to take part in courses and competitions occasionally. Or perhaps the interesting design catches your eye...
